Carbide Grinding Co Inc., (CGC) the 800 lb. gorilla in the industry, was founded in Waukesha, WI in 1974. Today its modern facility has been producing and sharpening cutting tools for the aerospace, automotive, medical and manufacturing industries for well over 40 years for use in the following applications: High speed machining Aluminum and nonferrous machining Machining cast iron Machining stainless steel Machining inconel Milling steel and etc. Gorilla Mill® regrinds are sharpened using a modified version of the same program that is used to manufacture it new, thereby insuring 80% to 100% of a new Gorilla Mill's® performance. Due to the popularity of this design, CGC’s distributor network has grown enormously over the past years. The marketplace is overwhelmed with variable helix end mills. Like the Gorilla Mill®, some are patented, most are not. One thing that matters most is performance in the machine tools. Gorilla Mills® will reduce chatter, decrease cycle times, extend tool life and create a superior tolerance and finish.
