Jeff has led the creation and growth of CCAT's Additive Manufacturing laboratory since 2011. The lab is located within CCAT's Advanced Technology Center (ATC) with a primary mission to educate, demonstrate and validate advanced manufacturing technologies to US manufacturers, transfer that technology and assist in its adoption. The Additive Manufacturing lab is focused on Directed Energy Deposition/Hybrid, WAAM, Binder Jetting and Powder Bed Fusion in metals, and material extrusion, composites and vat photopolymerization in polymers. The Center is also involved with Additive Manufacturing technology education, work force development and consulting. Jeff is a frequent speaker on a local, regional, and national level (Eastec, AMUG, RAPID). The ATC works with a wide range of industries and entities including SMMs, large OEMs, universities and the federal government (DOD, DOE, NASA) to do additive technologies applied R&D, technology demonstration, validation and transfer, and to support fundamental researchers.
